JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/ or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.

Cath Lab Tech(CV TECH) duties and responsibilities focus on giving patients timely care.
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/ or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
- Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum.
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies.
- Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
- Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
- Prepares power injector and contrast medium.
- Injects contrast during procedures and monitors injector rates/ quantity of contrast administered during all procedures Demonstrates detailed awareness and knowledge of patient supplies and equipment.
- Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
- Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies; restocks as needed. Is well versed in x-ray principles as they relate to cardiovascular procedures, cine angiography, and fluoroscopy.
- Completes data entry as assigned, including patient charges.
- Assists co-workers in the provision of continuous quality patient care as assigned by the Charge Nurse and/or Director.
Qualifications
Education and Work Experience
- Previous experience or training in a Cardiovascular Lab; required
- Cardiovascular technician training program with an emphasis on invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring, is preferred.
- BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current
- Certified Cardiovascular Technician; CCPT (invasive emphasis), Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), CCPT (invasive emphasis), preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); is required.
