Salary: 62,000-68,000

The Site  Coordinator  will also serve as the Supervisor Case Manager abd Program Coordinator and provides oversight of  the youth transitional living program quality and  service delivery, including but not limited to: serving as the primary 24 hour on-call contact; staff scheduling, training, and supervision; creating and maintaining an environment of respect for all residents, staff and volunteers; ensuring resident needs are met including providing oversight (assessing and advising about residents with mental health issues, substance abuse issues, behavioral issues, etc.); represent the program and the organization in public speaking engagements, volunteer recruitment and solicitation of donations; ensure compliance with all funding requirements; maintain required database; complete grant reports and assist in grant applications; provide required demographic information and program outcomes when requested; ensure program compliance with YTH program rules.  

The Senior Case Management Supervisor will serve as the site manager for the KBEC Youth Transitional Living resident and will be responsible for providing person-centered case management services and designing and implementing services to transition youth to independent living situations.  The services for unhoused DC  youth who are residing in temporary housing programs served by KBEC Group, Inc are geared to enable youth to build the adaptive skills, education, employment that lead to their ability to lead transition to community living. . The Senior Case Manager/Site Coordinator will work under the Direction of the Executive Director and the clinical manager to create a wholistic approach and system for how KBEC Case Management Services will operate. Site Manager/CM Supervisor will also manage a small case-load of 5 to 6 clients while doing CM oversight and supervision at Youth Transitional Living Site.  The incumbent will be responsible for case management training and support to ensure CMs have the diverse style of engagement clients that is culturally sensitive and effective for the target population. The primary goal is to assist individuals as in addressing the barriers to maintaining permanent housing using a strengths-based, Housing First approach. The primary functions performed include development of psychosocial support programs and activities serving the youth experiencing homelessness and driven their needs, interest and goals. Additional duties will include developing a systemic and effective approach to goal setting, planning, monitoring that encourages self-advocacy, motivation and empowerment of the client. Duties will include referral to other services in the community such as legal services, domestic violence services, mental health, education and health and wellness. The Site Manager/ CM Supervisor will create additional partnerships to which KBEC can leverage to support the CMs in planning, connecting to community resources, home visits, and engagement in care planning with the person’s multidisciplinary team, including mental health and health and wellness service providers, substance use disorder providers and treatment programs, job readiness and work readiness providers, and other community services that can benefit the clients. Case Manager Supervisor will also manage the KBEC Youth Transitional Housing Program’s training and professional development classes for clients and case managers. The Supervisor will oversee the daily work of subordinate case managers, site operations manager, direct support staff (Youth Mentors), Employment and Youth Specialists to include supervision, case load assignment and supervision.  The Site Manager will work closely with the KBEC Quality Assurance Manager and Clinical Manager.  Case Management Site Coordinator will be responsible for the quality and accuracy of the work of the subordinate case managers, to include client contact, assessments, Housing Stabilization Plans, case notes and other related Case Management duties and documentation. 

Principal Job Duties

  • Ensure all necessary entries daily into HMIS ; and other ED systems as required. 
  • Ensure documentation flow for new and current residents. 
  • Oversees, coordinates, and manages all residential functions and activities. 
  • Provides crisis intervention services. 
  • Ensures continuous coverage during all residential shifts, which may include on-call responsibilities. 
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures. 
  • Conducts regular meetings with program staff and residents. 
  • Monitors and evaluates staff performance. 
  • Effectively supervises staff and provides guidance, advice and counsel on professional development; conducts one-on-one supervisory sessions with staff to manage expectations and maximize staff performance. 
  • Provides orientation and training to all new hires and periodic refresher training to all residential employees. 
  • Submits program summary reports and data to funding sources to CEO prior to the due dates. 
  • Participates in the development and implementation of fundraising activities. 
  • Assists in writing grant proposals that support existing and expanding residential programs.
  •  Conducts program evaluation and monitoring; makes recommendations for program improvements. 
  • Attends performance assessment meetings with the KBEC leadership team.
  • Attends and participates in all staff meetings, monitoring sessions, community events, and other agency related business. 
  • Attends pertinent off-site meetings, trainings, and conferences. 
  • Calculates the in-kind value of donated food and other goods. 
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Social Work or a related a human services field and three years of direct human service experience providing counseling and/or case management services to youth; LICSW licensure is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of program management/leadership/supervisory experience  
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness  and/or significant barriers to sustaining housing
  • Excellent overall communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of populations 
  • Must have excellent organizational and Computer Literacy skills 
  • Must pass criminal background check 
  • Must possess a valid Driver’s License and auto insurance


Salary Range: $63,000-$70,000
