The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems, equipment, and machinery. The Maintenance Mechanic works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality Control Inspector will examine manufactured goods for defects or deviations from specifications, and continuously monitor manufactured goods to ensure established product standards are achieved. This role is responsible for monitoring the quality of incoming and outgoing products, documenting inspection results, and making recommendations on how to prevent future failures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, FUNCTIONS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, or measuring instruments required.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials with alignment gauges, micrometers, calipers, and other relevant equipment.
  • Reject products not meeting expectations and recommend corrective action based on inspection results.
  • Follow established policies and procedures when writing test reports that accurately detail inspection results, recommendations, or suggested repairs.
  • Record product weight, temperature, color, and quantity.
  • Utilize available facts to make informed business decisions.
  • Administer first aid in the event of an employee injury within the plant, and safely dispose of contaminated materials.
  • Analyze new products.
  • Assist with scheduled inventory audits.
  • Exhibit exemplary attendance and punctuality.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Based on the essential duties listed above, this position is considered safety-sensitive and therefore all work must be performed following quality standards and established safety procedures.

EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE
  • A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred.
  • Previous experience in a Quality role within a manufacturing environment is beneficial.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Knowledge of quality control, company processes and procedures, industry standards, and other techniques for maximizing manufacturing efficiency.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing, inventory, spreadsheet, and word processing software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The ability to reason and conclude high-level decisions, complete intermediate math operations, and exhibit professionalism.
  • The ability to communicate information effectively through speaking, active listening, and accurately presenting information to others.
  • The ability to see details at close/far range, utilize peripheral vision, differentiate color, adjust focus, visualize depth, and recognize differences and similarities.
  • The ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
  • The ability to complete work responsibilities independently and as a part of a team.
