Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Attorney to join our Property Management Team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial real estate transactions, with a primary focus on leasing. Responsible for structuring, drafting, and negotiating commercial lease agreements, as well as managing various aspects of tenant relations and vendor contracts. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a keen attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Lease Negotiation and Drafting: Structure, draft, and negotiate commercial lease agreements, including amendments, subleases, assignments, and letters of intent (LOIs), ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and company policies.
  • Contract Management: Prepare and negotiate business, broker, and consultant engagement letters and contracts, while effectively managing the entire contract lifecycle from initiation to closure.
  • Tenant Services Compliance: Ensure that all tenant services are provided in accordance with lease documents by working closely with the Property Management Team to address any discrepancies or issues promptly and effectively to maintain tenant satisfaction and compliance.
  • Vendor Management: Oversee all contracts and vendors involved in property management, including maintenance, repairs, and other services, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Legal Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards pertaining to commercial real estate leasing, and ensure that all lease agreements and transactions comply with legal requirements and best practices.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate closely with internal teams, external legal counsel, clients, tenants, and vendors to facilitate effective communication and ensure alignment on leasing strategies, contractual terms, and lease administration.

 

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law 4
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department specializing in commercial real estate.
  • Proven track record of structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial lease agreements and related contracts.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
