Title: Operations Assistant
Location: Onsite, Boise, Idaho
Reports to: Production Manager
OverviewHydroPoint is seeking a full-time, on-site Operation Assistant in Boise, ID to help our customers (and the planet) use water as efficiently as possible.
This role is responsible for product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse support duties, testing and calibration, quality control, and general data entry and collection activities. The applicant must be able to be productive with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Performing product manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, quality control, and engineering support duties and activities as directed.
- Operating test and measurement equipment.
- Following assembly documentation.
- Maintaining quality processes and procedures.
- Collecting and recording technical data, verifying compliance with specifications.
- Conducting mechanical product assembly and packaging.
- Facilitating shipping and receiving using various automated methods.
- Recording activity through data entry operations.
- Using warehouse equipment, manifest and information collection systems, and label printers.
- Safely using various material handling equipment.
- Palletizing product, loading and unloading material and equipment.
- Performing administrative activities associated with the effective management of shop operations, including compiling, storing, and retrieving production data for reports.
- Working during peak activity times (month/quarter end, inventory), with overtime as needed.
Required Skills & Experience

- Basic PC knowledge
- Solder and basic electronic assembly a plus
- Manual dexterity
- Familiarity with warehouse support equipment
- Forklift experience a plus (or the ability to become forklift certified)
This role also requires the applicant to have the ability to:
- Read and comprehend assembly documentation
- Use ERP warehouse systems to complete shipping and warehouse processes
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
This role requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. Employee will need the ability ship and palletize product.
Background
High school education, manufacturing/warehouse experience and/or assembly experience.
