Job Description

 

Overview:

You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, filling, and shipping customer orders in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner. As one of the largest STIHL Outdoor Power Equipment distribution centers in the world, at Bryan Equipment Sales, Inc., we specialize in the marketing and distribution of power equipment while seeking to add unexpected value.

The BES facility supports 1200+ independent servicing retailers in a five and a half state area via sales, distribution, technical and support services, marketing, IT, finance, and other key functions. Bryan Equipment pursues and supports our mission by employing quality people who are thoroughly equipped.

Compensation:

 

• Compensation range of $19 - $25 per hour

• Bi-Weekly pay – Hours: 7AM to 6PM 4 days per week

• Year-end continuous improvement bonus opportunities.

Essential Job Functions:

· Operate stretch wrap machines, shipping manifest stations, as well as moving and distributing product utilizing powered material handling equipment (forklift, end-rider, and pallet truck).

· Maintain inventory control, input credits on returned goods and enter product information using radio frequency units (RF wrist-top computers).

· Scan locations, pick merchandise from bins/shelves/pick slots, confirm quantities and place in appropriate container (using RF units).

· Responsible for daily housekeeping activities in his/her area and other duties as deemed necessary.

Skills Required:

· Must possess computer skills and/or aptitude.

· Maintain good/open communication with co-workers, leads and management.

· Must be a flexible, adaptable and self-starting team player who works with a strong sense of urgency and ownership in their role.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

• Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends.

• Familiarity with distribution center terms and processes.

• Ability and willingness to meet and exceed production standards.

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

• Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

• Ability to problem solve.

• Must pass pre-employment drug screen, physical and agility test, and national/county background check.

• Have reliable transportation.
