In close partnership with the City of Huntsville, tvg hospitality opened the groundbreaking Orion Amphitheater on the 7th of May 2022.Inspired by the grand open-air amphitheaters of Ancient Greece, this 8,000 person capacity destination will host an exciting line up of world-class performers and is further supported by three stories of unique concessions ranging from the Madkin & Weeden tap rooms through Isadora's Wine Bar, El Cohete Taco & Tequila, and the dramatic sky bar with immense views of both the stage and the surrounding landscape.

ROLE: Security, Health & Safety Manager

LOCATION: Huntsville, AL

REPORTS TO: Operations Director - Security, Systems and Compliance

JOB SUMMARY

The Security, Health & Safety Manager plays a key and integral role in the overall success of the Orion Amphitheater and the Operations Director - Security, Systems and Compliance. The Security, Health & Safety Manager shall assume an active role in pre-opening strategic planning, positioning, policy-making and presenting plans to the venue's constituents. Ongoing, this individual willbe responsible for overseeing the management of security and safety operations. The Security, Health & Safety Manager will alsoensurethe implementation of effective systemsand hold responsibility for creating and executingcomprehensiveplans and policies in order to achieve optimal safety and performance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with members of all operational and administrative departments to develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures
• Control budgets for security operations and monitor expenses
• Recruit, train, schedule and supervise security officers and guards
• Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events
• Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarms
• Create reports for management on security status
• Liaison between medical providers, law enforcement, and fire department
• Monitor and upkeep of AED(s) and First Aid room
• Monitor the removal of biological, physical or chemical hazards from a workplace
• Provide safety training for employees on policies, regulations and procedures
• Advise the company's administrative team on safety issues and compliance in specific projects and operations
• Inspect and verify company compliance with relevant safety regulations
• Maintain accurate and current records in accordance with guidelines
• Analyze incident reports, metrics and injury case studies in order to institute changes that lead to a safer environment

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS + PREREQUISITES

• 5 - 7 years security related industry experience
• Excellent technology skills and comfort with development of new processes for approval and executing existing systems
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communications skills
• An assertive, decisive and persuasive individual, yet not driven by ego
• Leads by example as a hands on operator who can also see the big picture
• A strong motivator who delegates authority with responsibility and is hard working and with a positive attitude
• A measured thinker with first-rate analytical skills

• A natural leader whose strengths and style complement the existing team
• A respected individual of the highest integrity who can positively lead the culture and inspire the best performance in their colleagues
