Event Planner

The Event Planner position will assist NOVUS Health in planning, implementation, and organization of our annual Coming Out Event. This individual will work with staff, board and the CEO to establish timelines, marketing, engagement of donor support, secure donations for silent auction and assist in establishing a volunteer base for the event. This is a temporary/seasonal position.

Reports to: CEO

Essential Job Functions:

• Organize timeline for event and event mile markers.
• Work with Communications Manager on key elements of event and event planning.
• Solicit donations for silent auction.

Marketing Duties:

• Assist with design of all material and invitations.
• Work with communications team to craft messaging and sales for event.

Event Outcome Duties:

• Lead efforts to secure donations both financial and physical (auction items)
• Support ticket sales and monitor progress.
• Work with Communication Staff and Manager to establish a volunteer base for event.
• General duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in event planning, volunteer services and marketing. Specific work with non-profit organizations is highly recommended. Direct work with health organizations is a plus.
