Physician - MD or NP, DOT Certified Medical Examiner (CDL Exams)

Community Medical & Dental Care, Inc, located in Monsey, NY,  is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physician to join our team as a DOT Certified Medical Examiner (CDL Exams). In this role, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of our community by conducting physical examinations and certifying the fitness of individuals seeking to obtain or renew their Commercial Driver's Licenses (CDLs).

Responsibilities:

+ Conduct comprehensive physical examinations by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) guidelines.

+ Review medical history and assess fitness for CDL qualification, considering factors like vision, hearing, physical limitations, and controlled substance use.

+ Issue, renew, or deny CDLs based on examination findings and FMCSA regulations.

+ Maintain accurate and confidential medical records of all patients.

+ Stay up-to-date on FMCSA regulations and medical standards for CDL qualification.

+ Provide clear and concise communication with patients, explaining the examination process and results.

+ Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals and administrative staff.

Qualifications:

+ Doctor of Medicine (MD) Medicine (DO) or Nurse practitioner (NP)

+ Active license to practice medicine in the state of NY

+ Board certification in Internal Medicine.

+ Valid DOT Medical Examiner National Registry (MENR) certification.

+ Minimum of 1-2  years of clinical experience in a relevant field.

+ Excellent communication, interpersonal, and assessment skills.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently.

+ Commitment to patient care and upholding the highest safety standards.
