HR Labor Relations Business Partner

Are you a seasoned HR Business Partner with labor relations experience in a union environment and driven to have impact on ending hunger in Silicon Valley? Nationally recognized Silicon Valley trusted non-profit leader committed to ending local hunger for over 40 years is hiring a Sr. Business Partner focused on labor relations to join their team. With over 500,000 people needing their services monthly, this nonprofit is building out HR infrastructure to meet growing business need.

What you will do:

• Provide strategic partnership with COO and HR in organizational design, succession planning, talent development, employee engagement, change management, and talent acquisition strategy and planning
• Use your analytical and strategic skills to partner with business leaders, understand business challenges and determine appropriate people solutions
• Serve as company point of contact for union and establish strong business relationship with union representatives
• Represent the organization in union meetings, contract negotiations, grievances and dispute resolution
• Implement union contract negotiated changes and train managers on new contract terms
• Manage one direct report and provide collaboration, coaching and career development
• Contribute to creating a culture of belonging, equity and inclusion as part of an excellent employee experience and a dedicated HR team

What we’re looking for:

• Seasoned HR labor relations business partner with experience working in union environments and partnering with leaders on organizational design, succession planning, talent development, employee engagement, change management, talent acquisition strategy and planning
• Strong analytical and strategic skills as well as proven success partnering with leaders on business challenges and applying solutions that meet business need
• Experience serving as company point of contact with unions, attending union meetings, contract negotiations, grievances and dispute resolution
• Union contract negotiation experience preferred
• Management experience with at least one direct report
• DEI experience
• Strong understanding of people operations, detail oriented and process driven to identify roadblocks and resolve matters quickly and efficiently
