Senior Controls Engineer

Pharmaron is looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to join us as at our Coventry, Rhode Island location. If you're craving a role that offers challenges, growth, and meaningful impact, then this is the opportunity you've been waiting for. This is a full-time, onsite position.
What you will do:
The (Sr.) Controls Engineer has both day-to-day and long-term planning responsibility for all instrument, automation and process control equipment used for cGMP manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and other chemicals produced by the Pharmaron Coventry site.
In addition:
- Accountable for Instrument and Automation Programs and all automation related validation projects at the Coventry site.
- Principal accountability for control system design and implementation for all Coventry site projects.
- Responsible for Process Control Administration.
- Principal accountability for control system design and implementation for all Coventry site projects.
- Provides Technical Support for all instrument and automation related maintenance activities.
- Provides Technical Support for control system troubleshooting and maintenance activities.
- Maintaining the highest manufacturing standards in Safety, Health and Environment
- Maintaining compliance with DEA, FDA, OSHA, EPA, Federal, State and Local regulations
- Knowledgeable with Data Integrity Regulations
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for you to have extensive understanding and wide application of professional principles, theories and concepts in the areas of safety, environmental, GMP, engineering, leadership and technical skills.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or related field with 7+ years of experience of work-related experience in designing and maintaining distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers and other process automation systems.
- Experience working in the pharmaceutical, specialty, or fine chemical business.
- Experience working with Delta-V software
- Batch Control experience with a wide variety of unit operations and related equipment in a manufacturing environment.
