Full-Time PMHNP for Residential Treatment Facility

Compassion Behavioral Health is looking for a Full-Time PMHNP-BC to join our team at our Residential Mental Health Treatment Facility.  Flexibility to work some weekends is a must. The responsibility of the Nurse Practitioner is to assist the Medical Director provide mental health services.

Job Duties:

• · Performs Psychiatric Evaluations for clients.
• · Transcribes Physician’s Orders and Implements all Medical Protocols as ordered.
• · Confers with and assists the Medical Doctor and or Psychiatrist.
• · Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms.
  
• · Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals.
• · Provides documentation which reflects services for each client in accordance with licensure standards.
• · Maintains the Confidential nature of all clients and facility activities.
• · Maintains required Training and Continuing Education.
  
• · Complies with all Policies and Procedures.
• · Effectively communicates concerns about client health to the Clinical director and follows up as necessary.
• · Under the supervision of the Medical Director, assists in educating clients about health problems and medical care.
• · Facilitates medication education for new clients and for all other clients starting new medications.
• · Meets with therapists to provide information about client medical problems.
• · Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning.
• · Performs additional duties, as deemed necessary, by supervisor.
• · Maintains up to date training in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and other areas mandated by organizational policies.
• · Sees clients for Medication Management.

Requirements:

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in the state of FL

Experience and passion working with clients struggling with mental health disorders

EMR/HER proficiency and strong clinical documentation skills

Communication and teamwork skills
