Job Title: Production Planner II

Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Friday, 6/7:00 am - 2:30/3:30 pm (depending on need)

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Production Planner II to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of hands-on experience in production planning within the aerospace manufacturing or metals manufacturing sector. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficient execution of production schedules, and contributing to the overall success of our operations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Production Planning:

   • Plan and release work orders in support of the Planning Department.
   • Ensure assigned work orders are directed to the appropriate departments for execution.

2. Work in Progress (WIP) Management:

   • Report Work in Progress status regularly.
   • Follow up on backorders to maintain production flow.

3. WIP Tracking and Expedite:

   • Track and expedite work in progress on the manufacturing floor to meet production goals.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

   • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Production, Logistics, and Sales.
   • Collaborate with other departments to adjust schedules based on capacity, material availability, or staffing changes.

5. Special Projects:

   • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• 1-2 years of experience in production planning within aerospace manufacturing or metals manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ERP systems, Syteline experience is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP's, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit for long periods.
• Occasional lifting of 10-25 pounds may be required.
