THE ROLE: The Product Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the division by maintaining plan library, tracking and following up on work being completed with engineers and architects and updates all changes to keep information current and accurate.

DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Supports the product development area to keep all plans current and filed for easy access.
  • Tracks plan changes and updates by communicating to the division on status as needed.
  • Ensure drawing information is kept up to date with all applicable residential building codes.
  • Drafts initial plotting for new home due diligence for Director review and approval.
  • Monitor plan change process and revision checklists, follows up on tasks with applicable departments and consultants, track plan revisions throughout the process holding all parties accountable.
  • Maintain reporting functionality for all Plan Changes
  • Prepare documentation for meetings and take notes/minutes of meetings. Communicate documents to teams for review.
  • Prepare documentation and perform initial review and QA/QC process of construction documents.
  • Assist with reviewing contracts and budgets for all design professionals and consultants.
  • Review and screen proposals and invoices for consultants as needed.
  • Maintain Thomas James plan library file organization and all applicable spreadsheets relating to the plan library used by internal teams (plan names, square footages, FAR, etc.)
  • Receive and appropriately file incoming CAD files from Architects for new permit submittals and plan check revisions, notify teams when files are available.
  • Maintain file structure on SharePoint for Product Development team.
  • Run reports and distribute to teams as needed (Permit & Corrections reports, Plan Change Management reports, etc.)
  • Assist Director of Product Development with creation of meeting agendas for meetings with consultants on a weekly basis and distribute to internal and external teams.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Associate Degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of relevant work experience

WHAT WILL SET YOU A PART:

  • Knowledge of how to read, understand and prepare architectural plans.
  • Uses organizational skills to maintain plans, files, and plan changes to allow timelines to be met while keeping plans current.
  • Advance system skills to use all Microsoft products and internal company systems including AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Photoshop
  • Able to work with architects and engineers to get plans finalized and reviewed for approvals.
  • Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail and follow-up skills.
  • Understands how to read budgets and keep track of all expenses and invoices, codes, and processes in the system.

The compensation range for this role is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
