Senior Project Manager

The Position:

Electrosonic Inc. is looking for a Sr. Project Manager located close to our office or remote with strong AV, construction, or technical project management experience.

In this role, you will deliver projects to specification, on time, on budget and most importantly, to the client's satisfaction. You will ensure that all members of the project team are directed in an organized, efficient and effective manner. You will also develop and maintain respectful, collaborative partnership within the internal project team.

Job Description:

• Fully accountable for successful delivery of assigned project portfolio.

• Be able to manage the commercial and contractual obligations of multiple projects concurrently.

• Supervise Jr. PMs and PCs and actively engage in their development (If role/need dictates)

• Ensure that projects are completed in a timely, efficient manner to our clients' satisfaction and in compliance with all contract specifications.

• Prepare and manage (including regular updates) project schedules, budgets, and staffing with in-house, contract, and sub-contracted resources.

• Provide regular reports and forecasts to upper management and other stakeholders.

• Administer project processes during engineering, purchasing, fabrication, installation and programming phases.

• Communicate project process and status, both internally and with the client, through regular daily, weekly, and monthly project logs, reports and updates.

• Manage changes to schedule, scope, and budget by generating appropriate change orders and soliciting client approvals.

• Oversee the Projects' site supervisors and installers.

• Coordinate on-site training and administer client sign-off.

• Ensure that final documentation packages (operations and maintenance manuals, as-built schematics, etc.) are prepared and contract close-out occurs in a timely manner.

• Administer handover to Electrosonic's Service Solutions group.

• Coordinate invoicing and assist in collecting accounts receivable.

• Significant travel and extended out-of-town stays may be required in this position.

• Perform other activities and assume further responsibilities as projects demand and/or as directed by the immediate Manager.

• Coordinate travel and accommodation for Project teams.

• Must be able to speak to all accountable projects in assigned portfolio including projects assigned to direct reports i.e Jr. PMs/PCs

What Experience, Skills and Attributes you will need to be successful?

Required Skills

• Exceptional capability to adapt to changes.

• Excessive knowledge of Audio/Video technologies and systems integration.

• Advanced knowledge of construction management and experience working with general contractors, architects, electrical contractors, etc.

• Ability to comprehend and clearly communicate technical requirements/specifications to non-technical team members, clients, and management.

• Strong organizational skills, flexibility, and the ability to manage multiple projects, clients, and tasks simultaneously.

• Ability to create, read, and edit contracts, schedules, budgets, complete project plans, technical documents, etc.

• Ability to read, comprehend, and redline CAD packages.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to interface well with clients and co-workers and to lead subordinate staff effectively.

• Advanced financial analysis skills

• Advanced (7-10 years) construction projects, business management, contracting and negotiation experience

Preferred Skills (You don't need these to apply but they'll put you ahead!)

• Advanced comprehension of MS Excel (VB Scripting, Macros, etc)

• Knowledge of or experience in creating project management dashboards

• Prior account management or partner management experience

Qualifications:

1. Minimum 7-10 years of professional project management experience in a related industry.

2. Hands-on installation or prior project coordination experience.

3. Advanced Knowledge of current products and trends in audio, video, show control, and/or related industry.

4. High proficiency with computers and standard office programs (e.g. Windows, Excel, Word).

5. Advanced communications, critical thinking, risk management, and relationship management skills.

6. Technical or Business degree

7. CTS Certification

8. PMP or equivalent Certification

9. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV

10. 9-12 years of professional project management experience or experience managing capital projects.
