Job Summary:

Based on daily production schedule, check, and stage all necessary components required for each job ticket at press site; to maximize productivity on press by minimizing press operators’ times in non-running activities.


Job Description:

  • Review job tickets for components required
  • Ensure all products and material for upcoming production are staged in the most efficient manner to support the manufacturing crews.
  • Ensure accurate press sheet counts by weighing printer product skids on press floor scale.• Upon completion of jobs, return production components to storage locations.
  • Keep all trash and recycling bins emptied.
  • Pressroom should be always kept clean and orderly.
  • Prepare unused press skids for production.
  • Ensure press supplies are stocked orderly in their proper location.
  • Dispose of waste ink and soiled rags off press accordingly.
  • Assist operators on press after staging priorities are completed to increase productivity.
  • Communicate with supervisors on job staging statuses as that may affect scheduling. Especially identify missing components for alternative scheduling planning.
  • Work overtime or temporarily adjust work times as needed.
  • Respect and cooperate with individuals and assist others in reaching objectives.
  • Follow all safety rules/regulations, company procedures and policies.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas.
  • Continually strive to learn and improve all processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$18 - $20 / Hr

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS OF POSITION

  • Previous Pressroom experience

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Ability to interpret written instructions.
  • Multi-tasking and prioritizing skills.
  • Organizational and planning skills for self-directed daily activities.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and acquire skills required to progress to operator status.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to visually inspect all work for defects and distinguish colors.
  • Frequent reaching, bending, climbing, kneeling, crouching, and stooping.
  • Manual dexterity for repetitive work.
  • Frequent walking and standing.

PAY STATEMENT

The national pay range for this role is listed in the job posting. The pay range may be slightly lower or higher based on the geographic location. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
