Job Description:
We seek experienced English-to-Navajo translators and editors to join our team. This is a freelance, remote contract position for our client in the following pairs: English to Navajo
The work is for a military client and requires full U.S. citizenship to translate vital records, occasional military documentation, legal documents, official certificates, and academic transcripts. Your role will consist of translating and editing various types of documentation that is confidential.
Our ideal candidate meets the following requirements:
1) A native speaker of Navajo and near-native English.
2) Bachelor's Degree in Translation or equivalent is preferred.
3) A minimum of two years of proven experience as a translator and/or editor.
4) Reliable, able to meet deadlines, and highly productive.
5) A team player, with excellent communication skills.
6) Must be equipped with up-to-date Windows software.
7) Excellent formatting skills.
8) Comfortable with one-to-two-day deadlines.
9) Able to provide per-word rates for either translations and editing or both.
This is a remote position.
