In 2021, private equity firm Yellow Wood Partners invested in Clio as its foundational investment in an intimate wellness platform – thus the formation of Beacon Wellness Brands.


Position Description:

As a member of the marketing team at Beacon Wellness Brands, the Manager, Social Media & Influencer will lead and execute social media, digital content and Influencer marketing strategy, consumer, competitive and trend insights and report on performance KPIs across multiple brands, platforms, as well as product development through market research and analysis.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Social Media

  • Strategy:
    • Lead development and execution of social media and influencer strategy for the plusOne, palm perfect and plum beauty brands, with greatest focus on plusOne.
    • Define and execute the voice/personality and content approach/pillars for each brand.
    • Create social strategy across all platforms, including, but not limited to, Instagram and Reels, TikTok, X, Threads, YouTube and Facebook, with greatest focus on Meta and TikTok.
  • Planning & Execution:
    • Manage social content calendar and posting, maintain consistent brand look & feel
    • Manage and brief out content to outside content creators, creative digital partners, and in-house content creators on a weekly/monthly basis
    • Review all social content prior to publication and gain approval from SVP, Marketing
    • Help administer and fulfill giveaways and other promotions
  • Insights & Reporting
    • Conduct social listening and report monthly on best practices, trends, competitive benchmarking, and actionable insights
    • Establish the right KPI dashboards and reports, calculating and reporting out on these metrics in weekly, monthly and ad-hoc/campaign reviews, identifying underlying trends and actionable insights to continually improve on objectives
  • Campaigns 
    • Develop earned-first, social-centric ideas in partnership with the brand/PR team to drive social buzz/conversation and earned media around the most meaningful brand and cultural moments
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with various teams to ideate, conceptualize and execute monthly campaign programming
  • In-House Expert
    • Be an expert on the latest social media tactics and platform features including overall best practices for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and more; share out high level trends monthly and as needed for various projects and presentations
    • Serve as a key lead on the social team for ongoing projects and business priority needs that arise
  • Community Engagement
    • Build and nurture relationships with our community by actively engaging in comments, DMs, story creation and crafting authentic captions.
  • Budget
    • Manage Social Media budget to ensure that all campaigns, programs, and activities are within allocated budget


Content Creation

  • Conceptualize and produce dynamic visual content, including asset creation and photo shoots for organic social channels (leverage in paid when possible)
  • Write and edit all social copy, adjusting tone of voice for each specific channel
  • Oversee content creation for short-form video platforms like TikTok + Reels (longer term potentially YouTube shorts)
  • Oversee creation of UGC, leveraging external partners and tools as needed
  • Partner with internal and external creative resources


Influencer

  • Lead paid and organic Influencer Strategy for plusOne
  • Identify Influencers who fit with plusOne brand values and help story tell and engage on the brand’s behalf
  • Create detailed briefs for influencer campaigns and ensure content reflects brief
  • Identify the best tools and resources for sourcing influencers ranging from micro to macro
  • Build an influencer database and develop agent and influencer relationships for plusOne mailers, campaigns and outreach
  • Negotiate all contracts and rights for paid influencer initiatives
  • Develop dashboard with benchmarks; report monthly vs. KPIs

 

Skills and Experience:

  • Major in marketing, business, communications, or related field
  • 5 years social media, influencer and content creation experience
  • Impeccable written communication and social storytelling skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and be a team player, and be a proactive self-starter
  • Strong multitasking skills and good at managing deliverables within a determined timeframe
  • An active interest in beauty, wellness and/or personal care products
  • Passion for social media and influencers
  • Elevated and detail-oriented creative eye and aesthetic with skills in photo, video, and design
  • Ability to analyze metrics to drive actionable next steps
