Lead Medical Assistant

Pulmonary and Medicine Associates is seeking a highly skilled and passionate Lead Medical Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical assisting, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering personalized care to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and guidance to the medical assistant team
• Assist clinicians with patient examinations and procedures
• Administer medications and injections as directed
• Conduct patient assessments, take vitals, and update medical records
• Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
• Ensure the cleanliness and organization of exam rooms and medical equipment
• Coordinate patient referrals, diagnostic testing, and follow-up appointments
• Assist with front office duties, including scheduling and verifying insurance information

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program
• Certification as a Medical Assistant
• Minimum of [2 years] experience in a medical office setting
• Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
