Certified Public Accountant (CPA) - Supervisor

The compensation range is dependent on experience and skillsets. Considering hiring multiple candidates.

This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced CPA that is looking to make a real impact and become a future leader of our firm. You will collaborate closely with the partners of sbc-cpa, strategizing and implementing plans to assist a diverse client base in improving their financial reporting systems and economic performance. Our aim is to continue to grow by partnering with our increasing client base by minimizing the routine elements of accounting services which can be automated while maximizing our skills at recognizing opportunities and assisting clients to seize them.

We are looking for a CPA or EA who is organized, motivated, initiative-taking, and accountable for their work but can also:

• Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in solving problems
• Perform proactively and self-manage
• Handle IRS and state tax notices (installment agreements, etc.)
• Must be organized and meticulous
• Develop understanding of clients' businesses and aspects of their industries
• Assist clients with special projects
• Review Corporate, Individual and Partnership tax returns
• Ability to develop and sustain business relationships for the purpose of increasing the firm's client basis

Requirements

• Certified Public Accountant
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master’s or MBA preferred
• Four or more years of relevant Public Accounting experience
• Experience with various Federal and State tax returns including Individual, Corporate, Trust, Estate, Nonprofit, and Partnership
• QuickBooks™ Online ProAdvisor Certification
• Ability and experience interfacing and effectively communicating with clients involved in various industries regarding QuickBooks and business needs
• Strong accounting knowledge, US GAAP, and Client Accounting Support
• Strong technology skills - Excel, Word, Outlook, and UltraTax software preferred
• Supervisor experience preferred
• English essential and bi-lingual Spanish a plus. Specific tasks:
