Facilities Maintenance - Hospitality - Colorado Springs, CO
Position Purpose & Summary
Seeking a passionate maintenance professional who wants to do the job right the first time. Facilities Maintenance Technician I (Engineer I - entry level) is a Full-Time Regular position.
Essential Functions:
- Provide service and repairs to resort equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, kitchen equipment, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
- Will assist in repair and maintenance of the building as required. This position may also respond to inquiries from, and problems identified by guests in a caring and respectful manner to achieve guest satisfaction.
- This role has direct contact with guests and as such, good communication skills are a necessity.
- Troubleshoots equipment using proper tools in a skilled craftsman-like manner.
- Performs assignments as directed by the Assistant Chief Engineer and Chief Engineer.
- Troubleshooting and repairs on laundry, kitchen, and HVAC equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance in guestrooms, public areas and on all assigned equipment.
- Repairs all malfunctioning mechanical devices.
- Responds to room repairs regarding carpentry, electrical, plumbing, carpeting, painting, and furniture repair.
- Maintains pools and spas.
- Maintains key control systems and participates in re-keying of facility as needed.
- Assist with cleaning of mechanical spaces, engineering shop and other general areas.
- Responds to guest room calls.
- Establish cross-departmental channels of communication among teammates that are consistent and complete.

Position Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge & Skills:
1 year of experience in any field- REQUIRED. Ability to operate computer and related equipment (pads, tablets, PCs, etc.) - REQUIRED. A successful candidate will have a flexible schedule, ability to work morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays. Must be fluent in English.
Formal Education and Job-Related Experience:
This position requires a minimum formal education of a high school diploma and a minimum of one-year job-related experience.
License, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Valid driver's license required to drive company licensed vehicles.
