Field Service Technician

We are looking for Field Service Technician to support our team at our corporate location in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Summary:

The Field Service Technician will assist with technical support for both internal and external customers. Evaluates field problems, including negotiating field labor. Candidate is responsible for providing the highest level of quality care and quick solutions to our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal communication skills, be self-motivated, travel on short notice, have a valid drivers license, and auto insurance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Negotiates and authorize field labor.
• Provide technical support for Customers, Contractors, Sales via phone and email.
• Provide product installation training for installers.
• Travels to troubleshoot problem job sites on short notice.
• Assist in the testing of returned product.
• Provide written reports for site visits, and product test results.
• Work closely with vendors to resolve product related issues.
• Updates Management on trends, potential problems, and solutions.
• Utilize Oracle or equivalent ERP platform to:
  • Explore Bill of Materials.
  • Research order history.
  • Provide replacement part numbers.
  • Miscellaneous request.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED.
• Microsoft Office
• Oracle (JD Edwards)
• Zendesk
• Blueprints
• Wiring Schematics
• Basic understanding of Electric
• Travel Arrangements
• Customer Service

Language Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:

• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Computer Skills:

• To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Physical Demands:

• The employee is frequently required to stand and work with hands above head for long periods.
• The employee is occasionally required to walk long distances, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch.
• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions and the risk of electrical shock.
• The employee is occasionally exposed heights ranging from 6-50 feet.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
