About the position

The Project Manager provides overall administrative and technical direction for electrical service projects with new and existing accounts. Project Managers have overall bottom-line responsibility for profit and loss and consequently, carry the authority appropriately. Project Managers provide technical and engineering support as required by the projects needed.

Day in the life

• Direct, plan, implement, and independently manage all phases and activities of each project from start to finish, relentlessly driving all aspects of project execution.
• Conduct job start-up meetings with field operations leaders to discuss plans and schedules.
• Actively monitor progress toward accomplishing highest-priority goals and projects.
• Lead and direct project activities, working to overcome barriers to project and team effectiveness.
• Resolve project challenges in high-pressure situations while maintaining effectiveness, professionalism, and a strategic view of project priorities.
• Partner with project foreman and project team members to conduct inspections, and job safety audits, and assure accurate scope, placement, and conformance with the contract.
• Serve as a representative for the company and primary point of contact for customers.
• Build meaningful relationships, grow and develop professionally, and have opportunities to advance to senior project manager and operational management roles.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or IBEW Apprentice Training Certificate or equivalent in job experience in Project Management in the trades
• Minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
• Outstanding interpersonal and team leadership skills
• Knowledge of the National Electrical Code
• Must possess strong attention to detail and ensure maximum quality of work throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Experience with project management methodologies and techniques, construction methods and materials, estimating and costing, and construction software such as Accubid and Bluebeam Revu a plus

-Electrical Service Project Managers can work remotely but must be willing to travel to Minneapolis for quarterly team building meetings.
