ASC Director of Nursing (DON) / Facility Administrator

Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ASC Director of Nursing (DON) / Facility Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing leadership, healthcare administration, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care in an ambulatory surgery center (ASC) setting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the daily operations of the ASC, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Provide leadership and direction to nursing and clinical staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, excellence, and patient-centered care.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize patient outcomes, enhance efficiency, and improve overall performance metrics.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a seamless surgical experience.
• Monitor and evaluate clinical processes, patient satisfaction, and quality improvement initiatives, making recommendations for improvement as needed.
• Manage financial performance, budgeting, and revenue cycle activities, working closely with the administrative team to achieve fiscal objectives.
• Serve as a liaison between the ASC, regulatory agencies, and vendors,  representing the organization with professionalism and integrity.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, participating in continuing education and professional development activities as appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of Louisiana, with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of progressive leadership experience in an ASC or similar healthcare setting, with demonstrated success in nursing administration, operations management, and staff development.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards (e.g., AAAHC, CMS), and quality improvement methodologies, with a commitment to ensuring compliance and patient safety.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and resolve complex issues.
• Proficiency in financial management, budgeting, and revenue cycle processes, with experience in analyzing financial data and implementing cost-effective strategies.
• Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate others, foster a positive work environment, and lead change initiatives with resilience and adaptability.
• Certification in Ambulatory Surgery Center Management (CASC) or Nurse Executive (NE-BC) preferred.
