Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the ASC Director of Nursing and in alignment with established policies, the ASC Registered Nurse (RN) supports cardiologists and surgeons in all procedures conducted within the ASC Lab. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative process - before, during, and after cardiac catheterization procedures. As an integral member of the clinical team, the ASC RN performs a range of duties including direct patient care, hemodynamic monitoring, and scrub nurse responsibilities. Additional tasks may be assigned by the Director of Nursing to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The ASC RN demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide age-appropriate care. This includes understanding the principles of growth and development, accurately assessing patient data, and interpreting relevant information to identify and meet each patient's age-specific needs
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation certificate from an accredited Registered Nurse (RN) program, required
  • Current MS state licensure, required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), required
  • Completion of Moderate Sedation course, required
  • Cardiac/Telemetry experience, preferred
  • ICU/ED/Critical Care experience, preferred
  • Proficient patient assessment, vital sign monitoring, IV insertions, and administering Moderate Sedation
  • Knowledge of Cardiovascular ASC procedures, infection control practices and emergency response protocols
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong discretion and ability to handle confidential information
  • Composure in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies
  • Dependable, punctual, and highly detail-oriented
  • Strong multitasking and independent-work capabilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to follow established workflows consistently
  • Knowledge of ASC procedures, infection control practices and emergency response protocols
