Job Summary:

Responsible for capturing the GPS coordinates on roughly 250,000 water meters and verify size, and make. Additionally, you will be locating water taps, meters, identifying city water, and private line material and size.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform field and construction surveys of installed infrastructure.
Collect and verify data for use by field staff utilizing ArcGIS.
Prepare supplies and equipment for daily assignments and ensure field equipment is cleaned and maintained per requirements.
Locates water service and meter with use of metal detectors and other tools.
Identify and notate city line and private plumbing line material and size.
Operates and maintains various vehicles in a safe and appropriate manner.
Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined; ensures all behaviors comply with the Personnel Rules and Regulations.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

High school diploma/GED supplemented by specialized training in surveying or a related field one year of responsible surveying experience required.
