Job Description
Role and Responsibilities

As a Local non-CDL driver you will deliver and pick-up mail from customers, vendors, and partner locations. This position will also include assignments & light manufacturing duties in between routes and deliveries. These duties will be assigned by management and can/will change from day to day.


Job Description: Essential Job Functions include, but are not limited, to the following. Please note other duties may be assigned accordingly.

  • Report to the production supervisor at the beginning of the assigned shift to discuss daily changes.
  • Perform pre- and post-shift physical inspection of vehicle daily and complete full vehicle inspection monthly log and reports.
  • Review driver bulletin board for potential changes for delivery & pick-up route(s).
  • Follow route(s) and time schedules as assigned.
  • Gather and load all necessary materials to ensure proper completion of assigned route(s).
  • Unload at the corporate warehouse and reload materials as needed.
  • Advise management of any potential problems or maintenance requests.
  • Properly refuel vehicles.
  • Clothing should be neat and clean at all times.
  • Professionally greet all individuals at customer, vendor, or partner location(s).
  • Follow Standard Work procedures.
  • Make ready, operate, maintain and have ability to troubleshoot the driving process as needed.
  • Follow QC procedures and complete all paperwork, checklists, logs, and computer functions (piece level verification, job scanning and tracking, MRDF, etc.) in accordance with Standard Processes.
  • Interact closely with other departments.
  • Ensure associates maintain safety and OSHA standards.
  • Responsible for cleanliness of area and maintaining 5S standards, while driving continuous improvements.
  • All other tasks as assigned by Lead, Manager, or Senior Management.
  • Comply with all current and future security and compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of some of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Additional requirements may be presented accordingly.

  • Possess valid, non-expired local Driver's License.
  • A 3-year driving record shall be ordered from Local and National databases. No driving-related suspensions, revocation, or cancellation. No moving violations or reckless driving incidents. No major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving of the scene, or at-fault accidents.
  • Ability to pass drug-screening and pass random drug-screenings during employment.
  • Willingness to accept direction from Management and relay those directions to others.
  • Ability to drive a car, pickup truck, van, or 26-foot non-CDL box truck.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years' driving experience.
