Job description

Description The City of South Lake Tahoe is currently seeking referees to assist with the following leagues. The estimated hours are 24 - 32 hours per league. Youth Basketball Saturdays March 1 - April 19 Flag Football Sundays August 17 - October 26 Adult Volleyball League Sundays October - to November 24 This position is responsible for enforcing the rules of the game and maintaining standards of fair play, sportsmanship, and safety during organized sports programs.

Responsibilities: - Officiate games with knowledge of league rules and regulations. - Monitor player safety and promote good sportsmanship among participants. - Communicate effectively with coaches, players, and spectators.

- Keep accurate records of game scores, fouls, and other statistics as required. Qualifications - Strong knowledge of the specific sport's rules and gameplay (e.g., basketball, soccer, flag football, etc.). - Ability to communicate and make decisions in high pressure situations - Previous refereeing or coaching experience is a plus, but not required
