The ROA Enterprise Application Data Engineer is a full-time ROA position responsible for managing the ROA Enterprise Application Portfolio (voteref.com & Recon RW and the political data targeting & segmentation application currently in development) plus other technical project activities and duties as assigned. This position will report direct line to the ROA CIO and will be paired directly with the ROA Enterprise Application Developer to ensure maximum uptime and availability for all ROA Enterprise Applications. This position will work closely with internal ROA & VRF customers as well as key vendors.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the ROA Enterprise Application Developer as well as the ROA & VRF leadership teams to ensure all uptime goals are hit. Manage master credentials, control production releases and internal software development protocols (Agile, etc)
• Develop the framework for a voteref.com-based “open architecture” offering for government clients; Secretary of State offices, County Clerks, Local Election Commissions, etc.
• Administer ROA’s databases including user permissions, accounts, shared data sets, and other settings
• Develop and deliver training and best practices, particularly around cybersecurity, architectural documentation, software development protocols and product roadmaps.
• Provide support to users by setting up troubleshooting standards and systems of communication
• Oversee access policies for select technical vendors at the direction of the ROA CIO
• Build automated workflows to streamline data and date file testing tasks
• Coordinate with the ROA CIO and VRF team on voteref.com data integrity and security practices
• Data Matching/Reconciliation: Use innovative techniques to match data from various partners and vendors to the same voter

Qualifications:

• In Jacksonville, Florida area/Ponte Vedra, Florida area
• Enthusiasm for America First GOP politics
• Advanced knowledge of software development
• Working knowledge of elements of the core tech stack of .NET Core 7, SQL & JavaScript, Python (especially Pandas and other data focused packages) Machine Learning, Data Science, Database Programming, R, Java, Data Mining, NLP
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment while remaining detail oriented and focused on deadlines
• Take initiative and provide software-driven solutions to departments across the organization
• Excellent ability to communicate technical recommendations to non-technical audiences.
