Dispatcher

Adventure Tours is seeking a diligent Dispatcher to play a crucial role in our bus operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a dynamic environment. A strong understanding of operational protocols, customer service excellence, and effective communication skills are essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Assign drivers and buses on schedule to ensure efficient operations.
• Update and monitor GPS route/bus status to optimize routing and scheduling.
• Monitor on-time performance, identifying and addressing any issues promptly.
• Inspect and sign off on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR).
• Report all accidents/incidents immediately to the Director Of Operations.
• Generate, print, and distribute driver manifests for efficient trip management.
• Assist clients through phone or email, providing outstanding customer service.
• Communicate delays or updates with clients and other departments to maintain transparency and manage expectations.
• Liaise with the maintenance department on breakdowns, defects, and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Ensure smooth transfer and receipt of information from shift to shift.
• Perform other duties as needed to support the overall efficiency and safety of operations.

Essential Qualifications:

• Clear background check
• High school diploma or GED
• Prior dispatch experience (Preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with routing software and Dispatching Software knowledge is a plus
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication abilities in both high-pressure situations and routine operations
• Ability to read and understand road and street maps
• Familiarity with geographic areas for efficient routing
• Experience in monitoring GPS route/bus status and on-time performance
• Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and defect reporting procedures
