Objective

In the role of Training Specialist, your primary goal is to partner with the Training and Development Manager to create and implement customized training programs that equip employees with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in their positions and contribute to the overall success of the organization. Through careful assessment of training needs, creation of curriculum, and engaging instructional design, you'll foster a culture of ongoing learning and professional growth within the company.

Drawing upon your expertise in adult learning principles and instructional technologies, you and the Training and Development Manager will ensure that training efforts are closely aligned with company objectives while creating a dynamic learning environment that can adapt to the changing needs of our workforce.

As a key partner to departmental stakeholders, you'll provide guidance and assistance in documenting and standardizing processes and procedures to improve operational efficiency and maintain consistency across the organization. With a focus on collaboration, innovation, and measurable results, you'll be dedicated to delivering training solutions that enhance employee engagement, retention, and performance.


Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to assess training and development needs, providing insights and recommendations for solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive training materials focusing on company products, programs, and business methodologies.
  • Contribute to decisions regarding training content, resources, and approach for all training initiatives.
  • Facilitate training sessions on company products through various platforms such as webinars, in-person sessions, and conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting of training activities to support ongoing analysis and improvement efforts.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitors' practices in workplace training methods and techniques.
  • Coordinate logistical aspects of training sessions, including scheduling, equipment setup, and enrollment management utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS).

  • Ability to design and develop training in a variety of formats
  • Presentation and Training skills involving all methodologies
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments
  • Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously
  • Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally in a collaborative environment with a diverse group of internal and external contacts
  • Must have experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office

Qualifications

Work Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Trainer or similar role in a regulated environment, preferably collections/sales in a call center setting.

Bilingual (English & Spanish) is preferred but not required.


Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during the workday.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with staff and customers who have inquiries. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must be able to lift or carry up to 10 pounds on occasion.
  • The person in this position will work in an office environment.
