Warehouse Associate

This role is a combination of warehouse support, basic maintenance cleaning and driving/delivering to jobsites and customer warehouse.

Summary of Job Duties:

• Shipping and receiving of construction material and supplies, maintain warehouse and equipment
• Deliver materials and construction equipment to customer facilities and jobsites in the MD/DC/VA area. Occasional trips outside of this area may be needed.
• Detail Oriented Mindset– Maintain accurate paperwork and records. Confirm material delivery ticket for accuracy and collecting payment and signatures when required. Shipping and receiving of packages, maintain inventory lists.
• Pick up returns, validating product match for credit requests as required
• Perform daily inspections and maintain the vehicle, fuel the truck, and report any problems
• Comply with all state, local and DOT standards and regulations.
• General warehouse responsibilities as needed include checking inventory, assist in maintaining a clean and organized facility, unloading incoming inventory and stocking. Interacting with shipping company truck drivers, unloading trucks
•  Basic maintenance functions such as changing filters, operating floor sweeping machine and the washing of construction equipment. Interacting with shipping company truck drivers, unloading trucks. Grounds cleanup and parking lot upkeep.
• Assist operations field team with pickups: pull, stage, load job orders
• Staging orders in preparation for delivery or pickup – wrapping and packing orders
• Operate forklift & pallet jack

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid State of MD or VA CDL Class A Driver’s License (or the ability to acquire in 90 days )
• Experience operating large trucks, trailer, heavy equipment
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
• Possess good communication and customer service skills
• 40-hour work week and ability to work overtime when required
• At least 3+ years of recent and verifiable clean driving record.
• Clean MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screenings: background & drug test.
• Forklift experience
• Proficient using GPS and local traffic patterns
• Physical Requirements:
• Physically able to continuously stand, bend, stoop kneel, reach, twist, lift push, pull, climb, balance, crouch handle and move/push/pull/lift items.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 55 lbs., frequently lift and/or move up to 80 lbs. and occasionally lift and move up to 100 lbs.
