Hybrid Paralegal

Seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Paralegal to join our client for a hybrid opportunity in Jacksonville, FL! The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for learning about legal procedures and practices. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers $21.15-$22.50/Hour!

Responsibilities:

• Assist in conducting legal research using various resources such as online databases, legal libraries, and court records to support case preparation and strategy.
• Provide assistance in drafting and preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, contracts, and agreements, under the guidance of experienced team members.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining case files, including scanning and filing documents, updating case calendars, and tracking deadlines to ensure efficient case management.
• Aid in communicating with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in legal matters to gather information, provide updates, and schedule appointments as needed.
• Assist in collecting, reviewing, and organizing evidence, exhibits, and other relevant materials for use in legal proceedings, ensuring proper handling and confidentiality.
• Provide general administrative support to the legal team, including answering phones, scheduling meetings, filing documents, and maintaining office supplies and equipment.
• Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and court procedures relevant to assigned cases and assist in ensuring compliance with all legal requirements and guidelines.
• Actively participate in training sessions and educational opportunities to expand legal knowledge and skills, demonstrating a commitment to professional growth and development.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a paralegal role, with flexibility for candidates demonstrating exceptional skills and relevant experience.
• Proficiency in E-filing systems, with experience in electronic document management and court filing procedures.
• Demonstrated ability in drafting pleadings, motions, and other legal documents with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate needs and take initiative to address issues efficiently.
• Strong responsiveness to inquiries, requests, and deadlines, ensuring timely communication and completion of tasks.
• Confidence in legal abilities, with a willingness to take ownership of projects and work independently when necessary.
