Job Summary
A Green House home is a homestyle service and meals are arranged for, prepared, and served by versatilely trained care team members. Green House homes have menu cycles, flexibility for always available options when the menu item is undesirable, and meal service and table service is about connecting to one another with rich conversation, stories, and slow, community-oriented process.
The Green House Homes Dining Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of dining in the Green House Homes to ensure Shahbazim have processes for food procurement, menu planning, and budget review. In addition, this role oversees training in safe food storage, handling and service that aligns with the experience of a family style home, and supports the food coordinator Shahbazim role in eliciting elder engagement and feedback as well as reviewing the house for quality assurance review ensuing meaningful food experiences in the home, access to safe and high quality, safely stored, prepared and served food with emphasis on honoring elder choices and preferences, engagement in determining the meal routines, and staying within a budget.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Full Time: 40 Hours. typical work week is Monday through Friday and occasional weekend
Salary: starting from $55,000yr+, experience compensated!!!

Essential Functions:
- Developing and improving processes for food ordering and delivery, storing, preparing, and serving in a way that is achievable by Shahbazim team members (i.e.: simple meals, 30 min prep to table, process for pre prep work. Picture menus which demonstrate plating and skills).
- Working with dietician to ensure menus are nutritionally balanced and complete for a cycle with process for documenting changes, texture and necessary modifications, and substitution.
- Eliciting elder feedback on menu items through the food coordinator role and direct connections.
- Training all new team members on house meal processes and practices, safe food storage, handling, and service, and in servicing team members in homes when QA gaps are identified in any step of the food experience.
- Role modeling at house meetings with elders to collaborate and solution for menu concerns, quality concerns, or service and experience concerns.
- Periodic in house in services to teach shahbaz new skills and model engaging elders in mealtime experiences.
- Ordering food for the homes based on their individual ordering and monitoring budget by house.
- Developing, training, and overseeing in-house QA with food coordinator role
Culinary Manager Qualifications/Skills:
