Senior IT Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Technician to provide Level 1/Level 1.5 support onsite in Las Vegas. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in IT support, with a strong foundation in both Windows and macOS environments, network infrastructure, hardware/software troubleshooting, and Mobile Device Management (MDM). This role involves providing technical assistance to end-users, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining various IT systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide expert-level onsite technical support to end-users in Las Vegas, resolving L1.5 complex hardware, software, and network issues promptly and efficiently.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows and macOS systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
3. Perform advanced troubleshooting of network devices, including switches, routers, and cabling infrastructure, to maintain connectivity and stability.
4. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access control, including password resets and account provisioning, in compliance with security policies.
5. Coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, and ensuring timely resolution of issues.
6. Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of servers, firewalls, and access control software, ensuring seamless operation and security compliance.
7. Provide expert-level support for Avaya softphones and other VoIP systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
8. Manage and support Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, including device enrollment, configuration, policy enforcement, and troubleshooting for iOS and Android devices.
9. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals, to facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
10. Participate in IT projects and initiatives, providing technical expertise, guidance, and support to ensure successful implementation and deployment.
11. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in IT support, participating in training and professional development activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• 3-4 years of experience in a similar role, providing technical support in a corporate environment.
• Very Good knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and cabling, with the ability to perform advanced troubleshooting and configuration.
• Experience with server administration, firewalls, and access control systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
• Proficiency in Avaya softphones or similar VoIP systems, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system performance.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with end-users, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop innovative solutions.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate, MDM certifications) are desirable but not required.
