Senior Accountant – Cost Accounting

General Position Summary:

This position is responsible for overseeing daily transactions, audits, and reporting. The Senior Accountant will monitor the company’s transactions in both accounts payable and accounts receivable, manage required documentation, maintain compliance and analyze and report findings. This role is also responsible for holding meetings, working with management, and collaborating with the Production and Supply Chain teams.

Essential Job Functions

Senior Accountant – Cost Accounting

• Prepare monthly cost calculations and financial statements
• Update inventory schedule confirming PO and receiving products
• Prepare OEE worksheet daily and report to management
• Update the daily shipping and production schedule and confirm finished goods/products
• Checking daily raw material and supply usage by comparing production report & the actual inventory
• Report daily production schedule with team
• Hold weekly meeting for production schedule
• Hold weekly meeting for inventory purchase
• Control inventory and analyze safe stock and storage costs
• Prepare inventory aging list and calculate inventory reserve
• Check inventory at third warehouse
• Check floor stock at suppliers
• Count inventory at dry and freezer warehouse on site
• Track purchase price for inventory and report analysis
• Help with bookkeeping and other accounting work
• Help conduct year-end audit
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

• Accounting firm experience as senior accountant for more than 3 years
• Strong Excel skills
• Data analysis and graph reports
• Understanding of cost accounting
• Public accounting firm experience preferred
