Felderman Design Build is looking for the next member on our accounting team.

As a strategic thinker, the Accounting Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the accounting team in various aspects of financial management related to construction projects. This role requires meticulous attention to details, strong organizational skills, and a solid understanding of construction accounting.  

What you will be doing:

• Accounts Payable:  Process invoices and credit card receipts, verify purchase orders, reconcile discrepancies, prepare payments, and maintain accurate records.  Communicate with vendors as needed.
• Accounts Receivable:  Generate customer invoices, statements and reconciliations.  Prepare, post, verify, and record customer payments and transactions related to accounts receivable.
• Subcontracts and Purchase Orders: Assist with subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders.
• Job Cost Updates and Analysis: Record variable costs, analyze project costs and expenses against budgeted amounts to identify variances and discrepancies, and prepare reports and summaries.  
• Contract Management: Assist in reviewing and interpreting contracts, subcontract agreements, and change orders to ensure accurate billing and compliance with contractual terms.
• Payroll Assistance: Assist accounting team as needed to ensure accurate and timely processing of employee timesheets, wages, and benefits related to construction projects.
• Accounting Support: Support the CFO with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as needed.

What you will bring:

• Degree in related field (preferred).
