IT Manager

OPEXUS is seeking an IT Manager to join our team and help provide cutting-edge technology and support across the globe. This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Manager lead a team that delivers world-class technology services to our customers. This role reports to the Director of I.T. Infrastructure and ensures that our production systems run efficiently and effectively.

Location: Washington, DC with Hybrid Telework Available

General Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and oversee the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, and networks.
• Assist the IT department with leading and training IT staff.
• Develop and implement policies related to network security, and IT infrastructure.
• Analyze resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance.
• Establish, measure, and define IT goals and maintain an IT roadmap.
• Monitor and analyze the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually develop and evaluate new technologies and tools for the company.
• Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems.
• Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components.
• Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization.
• Managing and maintaining SLAs for internal users and SaaS customers.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in IT management
• Must be US Citizen and eligible to obtain secret clearance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices.
• Maintain VMware ESXi cluster environments, upgrade and patching, etc.
• Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft O365, Salesforce, AWS and Azure Cloud
• Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas that require improvement.
• Working with service providers for troubleshooting internet issues.
• Manage and configure firewall, VLAN’s, and subnetting.
• Knowledge of Active Directory
• Administer Storage with knowledge of iSCSI connections.
• Understanding VPN and all networking layers
• Knowledge of MFA/SSO
• Understanding monitoring and logging health data from different assets, such as host, servers, databases, virtual machine, switches, firewall
• Understanding backup technologies and disaster recovery
• DevOps tools and practices
• Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced professional environment and manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously 
• BA/BS degree 
• 2+ years of experience in Customer Success, certification preferred
• Knowledge of SaaS operations, including subscription revenue, product development cycles and operations
• Experience using Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and BI tools
• Knowledge/experience supporting government customers
