Job description

The Director, Business Technology Solutions, is a high-impact, strategic individual contributor reporting to the CIO. This role serves as the primary bridge between Global Electronics Association's leadership (Marketing, Finance, Sales, Services) and the technical execution teams. You are the "Value Architect" of the "What" and the "Why" - responsible for collaborating with business owners to discover opportunities, define the "What" and "Why," and transform internal operations into a modern, connected digital ecosystem that drives association growth and scale.
Responsibilities:
  • Business Opportunity Discovery: Proactively partner with Directors and VPs across the association to identify operational friction and discover how technology can streamline workflows. You don't wait for requirements; you help define them through business collaboration.
  • Roadmap & Prioritization Leadership: Establish and lead the annual and quarterly roadmap process for the enterprise systems suite (CRM, ERP, and related tools). Facilitate the trade-off conversations between competing business interests to ensure IT resources are focused on the highest-value initiatives.
  • Business Value Realization: Define and track operational efficiency metrics in partnership with business leaders. You own realizing "Success Metrics" (e.g., reduction in Quote-to-Cash cycle time, improved lead conversion data, or automated financial reconciliation, improved deflection rate of Customer support requests via AI Agents).
  • Strategic Translation & Requirements: Translate complex business vision into clear, actionable user stories, and functional requirements. You will ensure the technical "How" delivered by engineering teams perfectly aligns with the business "What."
  • Agentic AI Strategy: Identify opportunities for off-the-shelf AI agents (e.g., Salesforce Agentforce) and operational AI solutions like Cassidy.ai to scale internal teams and improve member experiences.
  • Executive Communication: Provide monthly and quarterly "State of Enterprise Systems" updates to the Executive team, focusing on value delivered, roadmap progress, and strategic shifts.

Please apply if this profile reflects you:
  • The Business Partner: You view yourself as a business problem solver and leader first. You prioritize operational efficiency and ROI over technical "bells and whistles."
  • The AI Evangelist: You understand that AI isn't just a chatbot; it's a way to redesign how work gets done across departments and operational teams.
  • The Problem Solver: You are obsessed with discovery. You enjoy digging into a business process to find a better, more scalable way to work.
  • The Influencer: You can lead a room of senior stakeholders toward a consensus on priority without having direct reporting authority over them.
  • The Modernizer: You have a "Product Mindset"-viewing internal systems as evolving assets that should make employees' lives easier and the association more scalable.

Requirements:
  • At least 10 years of experience in business technology strategy, solutions architecture (business-facing), or digital transformation leadership.
  • Technical Fluency: Deep functional understanding of CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Oracle NetSuite) and experience with AI orchestration tools (e.g., Cassidy, Zapier Central).
  • Proven Discovery Skills: Skilled in Business Process Mapping and identifying automation and Agentic AI opportunities. Expert in writing user stories, creating prototypes with AI tools, and managing requirements in an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Vendor Leadership: Experience directing and collaborating with high-tier consulting partners and holding them accountable for business outcomes.
  • Transformation Leadership: Proven track record of managing large-scale digital transformation roadmaps and driving successful project completions through collaboration with project managers/scrum masters.
