Our manufacturing plant is looking to find qualified candidates to fill the open position of a Maintenance Mechanic in 1st shift. The successful maintenance mechanic will work under the supervision of a maintenance manager, and will be expected to perform the following duties, tasks, and responsibilities shown in the job description below:

SUMMARY

To access all areas of the plant and grounds in order to accomplish assigned duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Actively pursue and correct problems with components and systems throughout the facility
• Understands fractions and decimals
• Basic knowledge of Lathe and Milling machine equipment
• Ability to use calipers, micrometer's, and scales
• Basic knowledge of automated packaging machinery operation, troubleshooting and repair
• Capable to use all of shop equipment and hand tools
• Basic knowledge of principals of power transmission/ gearboxes
• Basic knowledge of bearing types and application
• Basic knowledge of pump theory, operation and repair
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic principles, application troubleshooting and repair
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic principles, application troubleshooting and repair
• Basic knowledge of rebuilding of air cylinders
• Capable of reading basic electrical schematics
• Work safely with both low and high voltage circuits
• Diagnose minor electric motor, motor control and device control problems
• Ability to weld and solder
• Understands torching and plasma cutting
• Basic understanding of Tig, Big and Arc welding and performing small repairs
• Basic plumbing and carpentry skills
• Ability to identify and order parts and materials from manufacturers' manuals and prints
• Communicate both oral and written instructions
• Other duties as assigned

Salary range will vary depending on your Skill Level (Class A-C) Mechanic.
