As the Director, Principal Architect, you will serve as the strategic leader responsible for shaping the global enterprise, solution, and application architecture in the Theme Park space.

Working closely with executive leadership, you will craft the technological vision and roadmap essential for supporting our client's global business objectives.

Your role extends to enabling the architecture team to realize strategic visions while ensuring the design and construction of individual solutions by senior architects.

You will champion a cohesive platform vision, prioritizing integration to guarantee security, performance, reliability, reusability, and scalability across multiple value streams.


Key Responsibilities:


Technology Roadmap Strategy & Planning:


  • Lead the development and ownership of the technology strategic roadmap, emphasizing platform standardization to enhance company-wide efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish strategic plans encompassing all solution domain areas.
  • Ensure alignment between data architecture, security architecture, and infrastructure architecture.
  • Develop, document, and implement plans in collaboration with senior leadership.


Enterprise Solution Design:


  • Design enterprise-wide solutions with intricate integrations, focusing on reusability across the organization.
  • Create comprehensive documentation suitable for senior executive review and implementation teams.


Technology Advocate, Innovation, and Modernization:


  • Research emerging technologies and integrate them into the technology roadmap.
  • Conduct educational sessions to foster adoption of new technologies within the team.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and major vendor technologies to drive innovation and modernization.
  • Drive the modernization of systems to enhance capabilities for team members and guests.


Platform Rationalization:


  • Contribute to the design and implementation of long-term strategic goals for application and platform rationalization.
  • Ensure the appropriateness of systems across the enterprise, identifying opportunities for efficiency gains through rationalization and consolidation.


Technical Collaboration:


  • Collaborate with executive leadership and senior technology leads across the organization.
  • Engage with various teams including delivery, project management, product, business transformation, quality engineering, IT security, infrastructure, and on-site support teams.


Governance and Standards:


  • Establish and maintain governance and standards for architecture documentation, patterns, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with relevant leadership to develop governance and standards for other systems such as performance and monitoring.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of IT experience with large integrated projects.
  • 5+ years in architecture or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in software development, enterprise and global system design, and development.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor junior architects.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
  • Proficiency in setting and enforcing architectural governance standards and best practices.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and drive continuous improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of software development lifecycle, agile methodologies, and technical architecture.
  • This role is hybrid - must be able to come onsite.


Supervisory Responsibility:


Indirectly oversee project work and provide technical guidance to exempt teams.

Additional Information:
