Counter Sales Representative

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting for a Counter Sales Representative for a Hardware Company in Cheektowaga, NY!

Payrate: $17-18/hour

Hours: 8am-5pm / M-F

The Sales Associate reports to the Inside Service Manager and is responsible for entering orders via phone, fax or email. The incumbent will provide product information and assistance to our customers. The incumbent will also be dealing with customer service issues like order tracking.

The Sales Associate will also have side responsibilities as needed in the warehouse picking orders, working with delivery drivers and assisting in loading trucks as needed.

Essential Duties

• Answer calls from on the call queue
• Assist with warehouse needs
• Assist with deliveries and loading trucks
• Assist customers with product inquiries over the phone
• Place customer orders via call queue, fax or email
• Track shipments
• Provide superior customer service to our customers
• Attend monthly evening sales meeting to gain product knowledge

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma. Post-secondary education would be an asset.
• Woodworking experience would be an asset
• Demonstrate strong time management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication and listening skills

Knowledge

• Excellent customer service skills
• Energetic sales professional with a strong work ethic
• Computer literate
