Job Description
SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
- Manage the shipment and organize the installation of our large cargo equipment from our international facilities to our customers in North America. This position is responsible for all shipping and rigging activities for our presses in USA. Work with our shipping specialists in Europe and South America.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage international logistics projects with focus on Project Cargo (maritime, road and barge transportation of heavy loads/ super cargo)
- Develop transport solutions, taking economic and legal aspects into account.
- Support to develop shipping and rigging specification. Obtain quotes from vendors and manage the projects
- Organize rigging suppliers for the installation of our equipment in North America.
- Coordinate activities with our shipping and rigging specialists in Europe and South America.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Five (5) years’ experience in the industry for moving project cargo (oversized, heavy haul, specialty transport)
- Knowledge of available trucking and hauling equipment to move oversized loads in the USA. Experience with States Laws for obtaining licenses to move cargo.
- Operational and commercial experience dealing with international freight forwarders, shipowners and carriers in the US
- Experience in port operation (terminals and US customs) and export/import documents will be appreciated
- Experience with US based rigging companies to install of large machinery would be a plus.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
- Highly organized and time conscious
- Possess strong analytical aptitude
- Self-motivated and results oriented.
- Proficient computer skills with the ability to learn new software

- Ability to multi-task and to work in dynamic business environment; Adaptable to change
- Self-motivated and results oriented; Ability to use judgement and make decisions independently

- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent in English with advanced reading and writing skills
- German Language skills would be a plus.
- Visa holders/English as Second Language (ESL) individuals must take TOEFL exam and score above passing grade.
