Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the design and development, testing and validation, and installation of cutting-edge new products.
• Maintain technical documentation and bill of materials in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

• Review non-conforming products and determine corrective action.

• Perform research and analysis to improve product efficiency, minimize manufacturing costs, and implement new materials and technology.

• Collaborate with management, sales, and production staff to ensure project goals.

• Provide exceptional technical support to both customers and internal teams whenever needed.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or automotive engineering.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience in component and mechanical system design and development, preferably in the motorsports or automotive industry. Graduating candidates must be available for full-time work prior to September 2024.
• Proven proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks/CREO) modeling and defined print creation.
• Excel in communication and collaboration, thriving in a team environment where your contributions are valued and acknowledged.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a creative and innovative mindset.
• A working knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• As a requirement for this position, all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must possess proper work authorization documentation in compliance with applicable federal laws. Please note that sponsorship for employment visa status is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Involvement with Formula SAE or similar extracurricular activities.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and material science.
• Understanding of automotive engines, transmissions, or drivetrain requirements and function.
• Familiarity with fluid dynamics and heat transfer.
