Cryogenic System/Magnet Specialist

Cryogenic System/Magnet Specialist, Silfex Inc., Eaton, OH. collaborate with Crystal Growing Maintenance, Operations, and Process Engineers to design, maintain and improve magnets and cryogenic systems for Czochralski Crystal Growing systems. Ensure the integrity of data in the superconducting magnet systems, improve equipment reliability, develop new cryogenic systems to improve performance and reduce cost. Work in a safe manner and adhere to all applicable company and OSHA safety guidelines. Ensure reliable operation of magnets, power supplies, electronic control systems (software and hardware) improving system design, and developing assembly, calibration and testing procedures. Perform all aspects of magnet and electrical installation and hook-up of electrical distribution, control systems, cryogenic systems and manages the safety, quality and schedule of outside contractors and others. Identifies training needs for resources working on or near semiconductor magnets. Design and manage control, automation, instrumentation and power for cryogenic magnet systems. Act as primary company liaison with OEM equipment, architectural and construction resources, communicating company requirements.

40 hrs/week, Mon - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

Minimum Requirements:

Must have a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field, plus 5 years of experience in an engineering role.

• Mush have 5 years of experience designing, operating and optimizing cryogenic, superconducting magnets for Czochralski silicon crystal growth equipment.
• Must have 3 years of experience with PLC programming.
• Must have 3 years of experience with the following industrial electrical standards" NFPA79, UL508A, ISO and CE.
• Must have at least 1 year of experience in one of the following software: AutoCAD. SolidWorks, Creo 3D CAD or Pro-E
• Experience may be gained with in graduate school.
