Job Description

Frost Brown Todd LLP, a national law firm with 1000+ legal and business professionals in seventeen markets, is currently seeking an Offices Marketing Manager (OMM) to join our firm. This position is responsible for creating and implementing marketing strategies driving brand awareness/reputation and continuity across FBT’s national platform.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Managing a portfolio of offices, with direct focus on those markets with high growth potential and/or institutional presence. Making independent decisions with consultation from Partners-in-Charge (PICs), the DCFC, and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).
  • Overseeing and standardizing efficient processes to support the Firm’s other substantial market strongholds.
  • Driving and/or administering expected level of support for varying offices’ civic/community engagement tied to client and/or business efforts.
  • Managing market-specific relationships such as chamber of commerce and economic development organizations; key charitable boards and organizations supported by the Firm; and local market professional memberships (i.e., local bar associations, business journals and leadership programs).
  • Negotiating investment levels, memberships, benefits and/or sponsorships/directories.
  • Executing deliverables associated with benefits and/or organizational requirements (i.e., profiles, logo furnishment, etc.).
  • Developing civic and community engagement strategies, working closely with office PICs to identify key boards and attorney placements. Defining associate development, board succession and leadership program opportunities, encouraging less experienced attorneys to engage in the firm’s community dedication efforts.
  • Working with the DCFC/CMO on strategic Firm initiatives and when needed serve as a delegate for leadership functions and presentations.
  • Creating and implementing marketing strategies, including owning and executing tactics to support plan elements.
  • Collaborating with Sr. Brand Manager to support brand uniformity and continuity across the Firm’s national platform.
  • Working closely with Communications Manager on local business journal items (i.e., book of lists, products, and sponsorships) and office efforts that present external marketing opportunities (i.e., board appointments, charitable participation, or feature-story type content).
  • Participating in potential new market entry projects, alongside colleagues in the Marketing Department, and other departments across the firm. Execute assigned items to align new offices under the Firm brand, and in transitioning civic/community relational elements.
  • Effectively hiring, supervising, counseling, training, and evaluating direct report by reviewing work and providing work direction and feedback during 1-on-1 meetings; conduct performance evaluations; providing project and technical guidance; communicating issues, objectives, status working closely with the DCFC.
  • Defining timelines and benchmarks for strategic marketing opportunities and drive accountability.
  • Supporting events, seminars, and webinars, working with the Event Planner and/or Business Development team for activities driven by groups/teams.
  • Collaborating within the Marketing Department and with members of the appropriate administrative departments on new or ongoing initiatives impacting offices.
  • Contributing to departmental leadership functions (i.e., process and resource development, meeting facilitation, etc.).
  • Assisting in the development and management of budgets affecting the key areas of responsibility (offices and/or initiatives).
  • Developing and present training materials and other business development and marketing content at office meetings, as assigned.
  • In person interaction with other FBT personnel, clients and/or representatives at the worksite.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent requisite skills and experience.
  • 5+ years previous work experience in a professional services setting preferred.
  • Strong strategic planning and development skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to think critically.
  • Self-starter (initiative) with intellectual curiosity.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Excellent influential and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work within all levels of the firm (e.g., Chairman, Executive Committee, attorneys across all practice areas and business professionals).
  • Strong negotiation skills and solution orientation.
  • Some overnight travel required.
