The purpose of this role is to create design models and documents for clients, fabrication, and construction.
Responsibilities:
Creating detailed submittal and fabrication drawings of our products using parts and assemblies modeled in SolidWorks.
Creating bills of material (BOM).
Managing the design responsibilities through the entirety of a project timeline.
Working closely with our project managers to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
Working and collaborating with our engineering department.
Consulting with our construction and fabrication departments about the drawings.
Assisting design team members on projects as needed.
Performing other related duties as assigned or requested.
Attributes/Experience/Skills:
Required:
Two years of professional experience with 3D CAD involving the creation of custom models and fabrication drawings. (preferably SolidWorks)
One year of 3D CAD post-secondary education. (preferably SolidWorks)
Knowledge of advanced drafting principles.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks.
Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal)
Ability to focus for extended periods of time.
Ability to be productive, efficient, and consistently provide a high quality of work.
Ability to learn and follow company design processes.
Ability to visit fabrication shop as needed wearing proper PPE.
Preferred:
Certified SolidWorks Associate (CSWA) and/or Professional (CSWP) Certification

Working knowledge of PDM (Product Data Management) software
