Job Description

As a member of the NPH Property team, the Receiving Clerk is responsible for the accurate and organized management of orders and incoming shipments including maintaining accurate record-keeping.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives goods and ensures transport to designated location.
  • Maintains the work area in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Matches content and packing slips for accuracy.
  • Communicates with other departments as appropriate and provides updates to supervisor on issues related to deliveries and shipments.
  • Organizes incoming/outgoing shipments.
  • Maintains accurate records of items shipped and received.
  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures, and immediately report any and all accidents to a manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Previous experience in previous shipping and receiving environments, preferably in a hotel or resort environment desired.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be able to maintain timeliness and attendance.
  • Accuracy/ Attention to detail/Compute and record numbers correctly.
  • Excellent communication.

Work Environment:

Professional work environment with frequent interactions with guests/clients. Uniform dress may be required.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift or transfer office products and supplies, up to 50 pounds, using safe lifting and transfer practices. Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, walking, and standing.
