The incumbent acts within the scope of the corporate mission statement and policy adherence to accomplish and deliver sales goals.The Sales Manager will implement strategic sales plans to include sales forecasting activities and review market analysis to determine customer needs & price schedules.The Sales Manager controls all elements of the sales process, from sales presentations, food shows, forecasting, and customer business reviews to broker training and evaluations.Key ResponsibilitiesAchieve targeted revenue and profit from accounts.Develop and implement annual customer business plans.Build stronger relationships with existing clients to increase sales and market new products; Practice strong account management techniques to ensure repeat business.Develop, implement, and manage an effective strategic sales plan complete with quarterly and annual sales targets as well as contribution margin expectations.Participate in various trade events as a company representative.Become an expert on the product line and the market, providing intelligence in both areas to the company and clients alike.Work with Procurement to ensure forecasts are provided to ensure availability of products.Coach and work with the Broker network toward effective negotiation and sales processes, ensuring the right quality in key account management (increase customer touchpoints, and business reviews).Manage relationships and grow sales within existing buying groups.Full cycle business development initiatives, which include cold calling and prospecting.Identify and develop productive business alliance partner relationships as appropriate.Establish direct relationships with National Accounts/Operators.Qualifications and Skills:Minimum of 15 years experience in Foodservice Sales; imported products are a plus.Must have existing relationships within the Foodservice Segment. Both Distributor and Operators.Strong grasp of computer systems, Great Plains, Microsoft Office Suit, Adobe Suit a plus.Strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, presentation skills, and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.Proficiency in data analytics, enabling effective data-driven decision-making.Personal Traits:Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.A results-oriented and proactive approach to tasks.Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
