Legal Assistant

About the Firm:

The Lazzaro Law Firm, LLC is seeking a legal assistant to work at the firm's office in Moreland Hills, Ohio. The firm represents employees with employment, overtime, and minimum wage claims. Note: This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

The legal assistant will support the firm's litigation of overtime and minimum wage claims. The successful candidate will work from the firm's office in Moreland Hills, Ohio, and will perform the following tasks:

1) complete telephone intakes for potential clients;
2) answer phone calls from existing clients and provide case updates;
3) research class members;
4) perform data entry;
5) perform client disbursement;
6) obtain and review pay records;
7) open the firm's mail; and
8) send communication letters to clients.

Requirements:

The successful candidate must meet each of the 5 requirements below:

1) the ability to work full-time at the firm's office in Moreland Hills, Ohio;
2) strong communication, telephone, writing, spelling, and organizational skills;
3) previous telephone work experience;
4) previous legal assistant experience; and
5) the ability to type at least 50 words per minute.
